Join the CFMA Portland Chapter on Wednesday, October 27th at Kruse Oaks Conference Center for an Economic Update presented by Rob Howell from Columbia Trust Company/Columbia Bank and Christian Kaylor from the Oregon Employment Department.

Rob Howell - Senior Vice President & Director of Investments, Columbia Trust Company/Columbia Bank

Rob is the Capital Market Strategist for the Columbia Trust Company’s investment management organization. He is responsible for establishing global asset allocation approach, capital market analysis, alternative investments and leads strategy for Columbia Trust Company’s equity and fixed income solutions. Rob has more than 40 years of industry experience. He began his career at Bank of America where he spent 28 years and held the role as the Investment Executive for the Pacific Northwest overseeing $12 billion in client wealth. Based in Tacoma, Rob leads the investment teams covering the entire Oregon, Washington and Idaho footprint of Columbia Trust Company. 

Christian Kaylor - Workforce Economist, Oregon Employment Department

Christian Kaylor is a Workforce Economist for the Oregon Employment Department, specializing in the Portland area. He provides data and analysis relating to the Portland economy to local businesses, business associations and government agencies to facilitate intelligent decision making. His monthly newsletter on the Portland economy has over 1,000 subscribers. Before coming to the Employment Department more than twenty years ago, Christian worked in various positions in Oregon politics and policy. A native Oregonian, Christian has a degree in Economics from the University of Oregon.
